Although I’m writing this at the very beginning of spring, I hope to give you all some inspiration for new things to try as we slowly crawl out of that winter slump.
What I’m Watching:
Ginny & Georgia
One night, my roommate and I decided to try out the new Netflix series, Ginny & Georgia. I honestly did not expect to like it, but now we’re completely hooked! So far, there’s only one season with ten, hour-long episodes.
It reminds me of Outer Banks–and, yes, I love that show shamelessly. So, if you’re into cheesy teen romance, family drama, dark back stories, and plot twists galore, you’ll surely like this one.
What I’m Eating:
Trader Joe’s and Ben & Jerry’s
I don’t go to Trader Joe’s often, but when I do, I always find really fun foods that I can’t seem to get enough of.
Here are some of my current TJ favorites:
- Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (a crowd favorite)
- Sweet Potato Gnocci
- Kung Pao Tempura Cauliflower
- Multigrain Crackers (I know, I know, I know. These sound lame. But, I swear, they’re game changers in the cracker world.)
I’m also eating the recently-released Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy version of “The Tonight Dough.” This flavor has always been my favorite, so I was thrilled when I saw the dairy-free one at the store. 10/10, you must try it for yourself.
What I’m Drinking:
Dunkin’s Cold Brew With Sweet Cold Foam
I’m not hooked on any one coffee order, so I like to branch out and try new drinks. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this sweet cold foam (especially since I’ve heard of Dunkin employees just putting whipped cream on top of the coffee, instead of actually using the foam), but I was thoroughly impressed.
This is probably the only drink that I’ve ordered three times in a row now.
What I’m Listening To:
I go through cycles of obsessing over old artists and albums I haven’t listened to in years, so I won’t even touch on that subject.
Though, for podcasts:
I have been consistently loving Nicole Rafiee’s “Talk Nasty to Me” podcast, as well as Emma Chamberlain’s “Anything Goes.” I put these on whenever I’m feeling lonely or just want to take my mind off of things and hear chatter about a relatable topic.
What Workouts I’m Doing:
Although gyms have opened up for the most part, I have continuously been sticking to my at-home regime.
I have my own personal workout split for which muscle groups I work on what days, but my actual routines differ from workout to workout.
I much rather prefer weight lifting to cardio or HIIT-based workouts, though I still like following along to YouTube videos. I find exercising “alongside” someone helps me to keep up my pace.
Here are some of my favorite all-inclusive, body positive, anti-diet culture fitness gals:
- Abby Pollock
- Heather Robertson
- Yoga With Adriene
Happy spring, everyone!
